Thanks.

If I could, I would give them zero stars. I went in for my yearly physical and the Dr. asked him how I was feeling. I told him that I was having these issues (night sweats, fatigue, headaches) but I was having them checked out by two OTHER different doctors. He asked additional questions and then ordered blood work. Knowing that blood work wasn't covered under my physical, I still agreed (because Dr's are supposed to be smart). A few weeks later I got a bill in the mail that included an office visit charge. Knowing that my physical is covered under my insurance, I was appalled to see the office visit charge. After calling the billing department, I found out that because the Dr. asked how I was feeling and that he ordered blood work, that they get to charge me for an office visit because we discussed things not covered in my physical. So, BEWARE, for all of you that might be going in for your physical, make sure that the things you discuss with them included in your physical. Better yet, do not fully answer the question, "how are you feeling".

Given the number of trans health primary care horror stories out there, I cannot recommend this clinic (and my physician) enough. If you need a PCP, you should definitely check out this clinic.

Had my routine physical exam with my PCP today. As a trans woman, I was floored by the exceptional quality of care and respect I received. I was referred to consistently by my name (I.e, not my legal/deadname). My name was used on internal documents. They checked my pronoun and made a note of it in their system. They were knowledgeable about the transition-related medications I'm taking (in terms of effects, side-effects, etc.), but also asked questions to increase their understanding of the medical transition process and were happy to coordinate care with my HRT clinic. They offered to do routine breast and testicular exams. They also talked about my mental health and physical health, diet, exercise, changes in medical history, etc. In short, the exam was perfectly routine: "these are the medical issues it is our job to keep track of", while the openness of communication and the willingness/ability to see me and treat me as a person instead of a cluster of medical data were anything but what one tends to think of as routine.

The staff and Physicians are very helpful and got me back up to full speed.
