We visit this store every time we're up in Minnesota from Kansas City. Well worth the drive for the incredible service from Bill and his team. Great selection of gear and knowledgeable and friendly staff. We'll continue coming here for years for our hockey needs.
Always, always, always great customer service! Whether it is Moose, Shaun, Bill, Tommy, or any one of the crew, they have taken good of me through the years. They are very helpful, have great attitudes, and they take the time to answer all of my questions. Not at all like the chain stores where you can't find someone, or when you do, you get the feeling you're bugging them when you ask for something. At Strauss, these folks know their stuff, and they provide "Good old fashioned customer service!" That is the reason they have been in business for over 125 years!! Keep up the good work!
Strauss saved the day!!! Recently my daughter's car was broken into and her figure skates were STOLEN. This is a crisis in itself, however, add the fact that she had a competition in THREE days made it a four alarm crisis. It gets better....I was out of the country and my daughter was staying with her grandparents. Her coach quickly stepped in to help and called Janelle at Strauss. Janelle moved quickly to locate the right pair of skates from Reidell in Hastings as well as a set of blades to be mounted. Less than 24 hours later, my daughter was at Strauss getting her boots fitted/heated and blades sharpened. She was able to compete a few days later making it to final rounds and placing third! Without Janelle and Strauss this WOULD NOT have been possible. They made a very stressful situation SO EASY! They handled everything for me. I cannot thank them enough. Go Strauss!!!

This is a great place to go to when you need a little advice or just a great place to buy your bike from, a little spendy but really worth it, their staff is excellent the boss is cool and he brings his dog to work with him. Great and friendly lab. I purchased a silver and black Raleigh Cadent smoothest bike I've ever owned. Thanks guys I'll be back again soon.
